RESTAURANTS
My favourite restaurant depends on the day, the occasion, the people I am with, the time of year, so I can’t pick one (I am sure you are the same). Love these places – good food, stylish, and really professional staff. And all local lucky us!
Tabure, St Albans
Stylish interior and delicious modern Turkish food. Fab cocktails too.
Dylans, St Albans
Small but fab. Drew is in charge of the delicious food and Sean runs the pub (look out for the huge selection of gin). Very tricky to get a table.
Bar Meze, St Albans
A warm welcome, always tasty and healthy food and very lovely to children.
The Foragers, at The Verulam Arms, St Albans
Looks like a pub but really is a very good restaurant. Had a tasting menu for my birthday which was fantastic. Try it for cooking that you really don’t try at home.
Per Tutti, St Albans
Delicious Italian cooking and great prices.
Nonnos, Fleetville
Great atmosphere, delicious pizzas and pasta.
Oasis, Fleetville
Delicious meze, grills, halloumi etc. No alcohol though, just warning you.
Bar Azita, Harpenden
Delicious mediterranean cooking.
The Vine Leaves, Harpenden
Run by ex-Harvey Nicks chefs, this is a relaxed place. It makes the best falafel I have eaten outside of Jerusalem.
Chez Mumtaj, St Albans
Delicious Indian food, beautifully prepared. A treat but worth it.
