The Fleetville Larder
Lovely coffee and herbal tea and a great selection of locally sourced foods lining the walls.
Charlies coffee and company, St Albans train station and London Road
Charlie’s coffee tastes the best of any locally. Ethically sourced too and very fair price. Van at plat 4 is for the commuters and locals head to the tiny shop on London Road.
The Courtyard Cafe, Hatfield Road
Fab home-made salads, cakes and soups in very lovely cafe. Run by local family too. You can also buy locally made granola and honey, quirky gifts and gorgeous artworks.
Hatch, Holywell Hill, St Albans
Really good coffee and brunches in this ‘branch’ of Hatch on Holywell Hill.
The Pudding Stop shop
Sells delicious teas and coffees but the point is the PUDS! Oh my. Just go. Bacon sandwiches are very good – piled with crispy bacon and with their own tomato sauce.
Saddlery, Osprey Shop
Beautiful setting makes up for the fairly high prices for tea. All bakes are gluten-free.
love Soko Coffee at the station – it certainly brightens my commute!
St Albans’ best kept secret!
NINO near Clarence park, on Hatfield Road is good for a coffee and a breakfast, and the guys in there are so lovely. I am slightly addicted to both their Latte’s and Omlettes. That weekend cure for the night before has often resulted in me having one of their cooked breakfast. Diets have no place at the weekend:)
ooh never been there – will check it out, thanks!
