The Local Kitchen are having a very busy few weeks. We did our Brit snacks for Cellar Door in St Albans last week to go with their guided Champagne tasting and we have lots of events to cater for in the next couple of weeks. We might have to recruit soon so if you are interested in helping out with events, let me know.
One event that local foodies might want to come along to is the Wine & Food Tasting Evening in Harpenden on Thursday 1st December. It’s going to be in Park Hall by the entrance to Rothamstead Park. Lots of independent foodie businesses will be there but it is mainly a wine tasting hosted by Rollings Wine Company. Tickets are £5 each and you can taste up to (or all I guess…) 40 wines.
Jay’s deli from Harpenden will be there with all their lovely food, as will we, The Local Kitchen. I am not sure exactly what we will have to eat yet but we will be there to talk about private lessons, parties etc. Liz is slightly obsessed with her home-made Scotch eggs at the mo, but we will see!
Jelley’s is the butcher next door to Rollings and Carl will be there with sausages, christmassy things etc. David Rough from the Herts Wine School will be there too talking about wine courses.
Come and see us! Tickets are available from Rollings and Jay’s deli, or you may well be able to turn up on the night – I hope I don’t get in to trouble for saying that!! Email Rollings on firstname.lastname@example.org for more info, tickets etc. Time: 7-10pm.
